BANGKOK — Salary Hero, a Bangkok-based financial-health and earned-wage-access platform, announced a $7.6 million Series A on Oct. 14 led by Cento Ventures, with Kairous Capital and M Venture Partners participating. The company said it also expanded its credit facility to $10 million to support its regional on-demand pay services.

The company lets employees access a portion of earned wages before their normal payday through an employer-linked service. Salary Hero began operations in Malaysia in the second quarter of 2026 and said the new capital will support that market as well as broader regional expansion.

Salary Hero is targeting 50 corporate partners in Malaysia by the end of 2027. That distribution strategy is central to earned-wage access: the employer relationship provides payroll connectivity and a route to employees, while the platform must manage funding, repayment and the risk that an employee leaves or payroll data is incomplete.

The funding announcement does not disclose user volumes, average draw sizes or employer retention, so the round is not proof of the product’s financial-health impact. It does show investors continuing to back employer-distributed alternatives to payday borrowing, with the important caveat that fees, repayment mechanics and employer participation determine the service’s real cost to workers.
