Volante Technologies Partners With Circle to Embed USDC Workflows in Bank Payment Infrastructure

— Payments-technology vendor Volante Technologies said on Sept. 28 that it is partnering with Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, to let banks add USDC settlement workflows directly into Volante's existing payments platform. The pitch to bank clients is integration without disruption: rather than standing up a separate digital-asset stack alongside their existing wire, ACH, and card-rail infrastructure, banks using Volante would be able to turn on USDC-related functions as another workflow inside the system they already run.

The planned capabilities include minting and redeeming USDC, registering and funding beneficiary wallets, sending transaction notifications, and executing wallet-to-wallet transfers — the kind of plumbing a bank would need to offer stablecoin-based payments to corporate clients without building that infrastructure from scratch. Volante has not disclosed which specific banks, if any, have committed to adopting the integration, nor a timeline for general availability.

The move is part of a broader trend of payments infrastructure vendors racing to offer stablecoin connectivity as a feature rather than requiring banks to build or buy standalone crypto infrastructure — a dynamic also visible in recent moves by other processors and core-banking vendors to add similar stablecoin workflows. This publication has not independently verified adoption or transaction-volume figures for the Volante-Circle integration beyond what the companies have stated in their announcement.
