Stifel Invests in Meow to Build a Treasury-Focused Digital Bank for Startups
The partnership combines Stifel’s venture-banking capabilities with Meow’s treasury platform, with the new banking product expected to debut in early 2027.

ST. LOUIS — Stifel Financial Corporation announced on Oct. 15, 2026 that it made a strategic investment in Meow, a fintech focused on treasury tools for venture-backed startups. The companies said they are partnering to build a digital banking platform, with the banking product expected to debut in early 2027.
The proposed service is intended to combine Stifel’s venture-banking capabilities with Meow’s treasury-management technology. For a startup, that could mean bringing cash visibility, account controls and banking relationships into a workflow designed around fundraising, payroll, runway and investor reporting rather than a generic small-business account.
The arrangement is a strategic investment and planned product launch, not a bank acquisition or a service available today. The announcement does not disclose the size of Stifel’s investment, the identity of the bank that would hold deposits, pricing, or the full regulatory structure for the planned platform.
Those details will determine how differentiated the product is when it arrives. Treasury software can make cash movement easier to monitor, but startups still need clear information about deposit insurance, account access, sweep arrangements, fees and the division of responsibility between a regulated bank and a fintech interface.
